The Padgett House Transitional Home for Women & Children
IS NOW OPEN!
The Padgett House, Inc. created its Transitional Home intending to provide shelter to local women and their children. Our program serves those who have experienced domestic violence, some of whom also struggle with addiction.
Our organization commits to serving residents for a period of nine to twelve months, with a minimum six-month stay required. Throughout their time in the Transitional Home, each resident collaborates with staff to create an Individual Treatment Plan, uniquely tailored to address their specific needs. Adherence to this plan promotes both discipline and confidence in our residents as they become active participants in their own healing and success.
The Padgett House Transitional Home provides opportunities for respite, healing, and self-betterment through delivery of the following services:
- Housing, food, clothing, and additional basic living needs
- Counseling for abuse survivors
- Addiction recovery support
- Financial skills education
- Creation and stewardship of savings accounts
- Occupational guidance
These services are vital to the journey towards independent living, and we greatly appreciate your support in providing them!
The Transitional Home is presently accepting donations in the following forms:
- Financial contributions
- Canned foods
- Toiletries
- Furniture
- Toys
- Clean and gently-worn clothing and shoes
- Any additional basic items women and children may need in their day-to-day lives
Your generous donation will support our dedication to foster residents who:
- RECOGNIZE and refrain from abusive relationships
- ADDRESS addiction issues and remain drug- and alcohol-free
- ACHIEVE milestones such as sobriety, completion of GED, and job-skill development
- DEVELOP the ability to successfully manage and save money
- ACQUIRE gainful employment
- PREPARE mentally, emotionally, and financially for program completion
- OBTAIN independent housing
- THRIVE free of public assistance
